Hands Up For Down’s

We are an inclusive school and want everyone in our community to feel valued and that they belong – our No Outsiders approach promotes this. Lara Smrtnik is trustee of the local charity Hands Up For Down’s which supports children who have Down’s syndrome and their families in the Swansea Bay Area. We have several children in our school who benefit from this support.

Hands Up For Down’s has been shortlisted to win a grant from the National Lottery People’s Projects and WE NEED YOUR HELP! Four other charities have been shortlisted and we need the public to vote for Hands Up For Down’s so that the charity can win enough to fund vital speech and language therapy for another year. This therapy is life changing and will help members to develop core skills so they thrive in their families and among the community they live in. There is no other way to access this amazing therapy than through the provision from the charity.
