As a Rights Respecting School Pennard Primary School is a safe and happy place where everyone is valued and where differences are celebrated. We not only teach about children’s rights but also model rights and respect in all relationships. 

It is the aim of Pennard Primary School to provide the opportunity for all children to develop to their full potential.​

Our objectives are to ensure that:

• All children have access to the National Curriculum.
• Appropriate additional provision is made for each child in the light of the ALN (Additional Learning Needs) budget for the school.
• The staff are consistent in their approach to children with ALN.
• There is uniformity and continuity in providing the support from all members of staff.
• There is close cooperation between home and school.
• That identification of pupils with ALN takes place as early as possible and that appropriate action is taken.

Universal Provision 

What is Universal Provision? 

Universal Provision is support that is available to all pupils who attend Pennard Primary School. A pupil may need to access this support in order to make progress in their learning. This support is available in all classes and is part of the school's good practice so that all pupils can make progress.

All pupil's achievements are monitored closely by school staff. If there is little progress through Universal Provision then pupils, parents & staff will hold a PCR meeting to look at more specific/targeted interventions.
